Ford Hybrid Cars Case
Summary
In January 2006, CEO Bill Ford announces plans to build 250,000 hybrid cars annually by 2010. In September 2006, Alan Mulally takes over as CEO. He is now evaluating whether 250,000 cars by 2010 would be too many or too few. Mulally has also asked for 10-year forecast for the overall U.S. hybrid car market, along with corresponding forecasts for the sales of Ford’s hybrid cars, if they are made available to the market. The forecasts would help Ford plan its investments in the hybrid car market.
